Bridesmaids

Frances Chung (maid of honor)
Hometown: San Francisco, CA

Tiff met Frannie through APhiO at Cal and liked her so much that she asked Frannie to be her roommate during junior year. They spent countless hours perfecting the art of cooking instant ramen and instant mashed potatoes. They both graduated as Molecular Cell Biology majors, and being the nerds that they are, they both continued on to graduate school. Frannie completed her MPH at UCLA and is currently working at Kaiser in SoCal. Tiff will miss those trips to Pasadena to visit Frannie but is happy that Frannie will soon be moving back up to NorCal!

"Hi, I'm Frances! I survived living with Tiff during our college years together and now keep in touch from LA. You can always count that when we get together there's a lot of talking, laughing and snacking! Lucky for me too, Alex is practically a neighbor to me now – love those trips to Lancaster. :)" – Frances

Jennifer Tam
Hometown: San Ramon, CA

Tiff and Jen think they first met during welcome week at CAL. They actually probably met in high school when they were both in the Asian Pacific Club, but that was so long ago they can't remember now. However, during college, they became friends and shared anything considered "cute" with each other. Together they were fascinated with Sanrio (Tiff with Kerokerokeroppi, Jen with Hello Kitty), San-X (Tare panda!! Kogepan, Afro Ken, etc), Pucca, and many more. In this way, they bonded because their other friends thought they were a bit cuckoo! Through the years, they've celebrated many holidays, birthdays, and good memories. Sadly, they don't get to see each other all the time, but when they do, it's always just like the "good ol' days," like their last conversation wasn't really their last, that they are just continuing where they left off. Jen is now a pharmacist for the National University Hospital in Singapore.

Cassie Krupansky
Hometown: Orange County, CA

Cassie met Tiff at their UOP dental school interview. They got along so well that they kept in touch via email for months afterward. Cassie was so happy when she found out that they both decided to go to UCSF. From day 1 of dental school they became inseparable – studying together, taking siestas at the library, and watching K-dramas together. Being avid travelers, they trekked through Japan, the Bahamas, Tahoe, and most recently Vegas together. Cassie & Tiff are partners in crime even today as they go through Pediatric dental residency at UCSF.

Joanne Rahman
Hometown: San Francisco, CA

Tiffany and Joanne first met in dental school at UCSF, but it was in the Pediatric Dental Residency that they soon discovered their common loves of Paul Frank t-shirts, Angry Little Girls tote bags, and good food (hey, we can't help it!). During the last two years, they have gotten in trouble for whispering to each other in the middle of seminars, studied into the wee hours of the night for Biostats, ate their way through New York City, and supported each other through the ups and downs of life. As Tiff and Alex enter this new chapter in their lives, Joanne wishes them a lifetime of love and happiness (and lots of kids). =o)

Yoshi Shen
Hometown: San Diego, CA

Yoshi first met Tiffany 6 years ago at UCSF in dental school. For the first two years they only knew each other by name because in dental school, students sat in alphabetical order by last name. "Hsu" was sitting at one far end of the room, while "Shen" was sitting at the other far corner. Little did they realize that 2 years later, joining the dental fraternity, Delta Sigma Delta, would turn their acquaintance into a special friendship. With Tiffany's role as the "Grand Master" and Yoshi's role as "Treasurer" (aka "Grand Master's Sidekick"), these two active Delt gals accomplished successful clubbing fundraisers, savory dinners, fun banquets, and exciting meetings. Even though the dental school years are in the past now, these two girls still maintain a wonderful friendship with Girls Wii Nights, shopping, workouts, and Back-Up Date Nights (just to make Alex a little jealous!).

Yoshi is currently a part time postdoctorate at UCSF, part time dentist in the city, and part time piano teacher on the weekends. She recently got accepted into the PhD program at UCSF and looks forward to dedicating the rest of her life to the university.
