Arthur Ham (best man)
Hometown: Oakland, CA

Arthur is Alex’s younger brother who is attending UC Berkeley and is studying electrical engineering and computer science. One of Alex’s earliest memories of Arthur involves him falling off the bed when Alex was supposed to be watching him. Thankfully Arthur was okay and this incident of child negligence shows how tough Arthur really is.  Arthur is also an extremely hard worker who strives to excel in all that he does and although school is a top priority for him, he still finds the time to be with family.

Patrick Cheung
Hometown: Oakland, CA

Patrick is Alex’s younger cousin who now lives in Castro Valley and works as a financial analyst for corporate Safeway. As a kid, Patrick would come over to Alex’s house every weekday to play in the backyard with Alex and Arthur. Their claim to fame was co-starring in a home action movie called “The Briefcase.” But, Patrick’s movie career was short-lived and eventually he matured into a hardworking and ambitious adult with an extensive collection of sneakers. In fact, his collection earned him a spot on the cover of the Eastbay Express newspaper!

Darren Ma
Hometown: Oakland, CA

Alex and Darren met during sophomore year PE at Skyline High school in Oakland. After graduating from high school, they both ended up going to UCD where they were roommates throughout college. They downloaded tons of songs freshman year with their 14.4Kb internet connection. Unfortunately, they don’t know what happened to those 3 songs anymore. But, college wasn’t all fun and games and Darren and Alex found work at the student union where they worked setting up rooms, maintaining AV equipment, and driving around golf carts. Darren now works as a financial analyst in the south bay.

Roland Tan
Hometown: Morgan Hill, CA

Alex and Roland have known each other since the beginning of college at UCD. Roland lived in the dorm room next to Shaun and was a frequent customer of Alex and Shaun’s free haircutting business. When Roland tried to return the favor and cut Alex’s hair, Alex had to wear a hat for about a week. Although the haircut wasn’t great, that event shows how considerate he is towards his friends. Thankfully, Roland gave up his aspiration of becoming a hair stylist and is currently works as a marketing engineer in the south bay.

Shaun Tse
Hometown:  Oakland, CA

Alex has known Shaun since kindergarten back at Glenview Elementary school in Oakland. Alex’s earliest memories of Shaun include his hearty lunches, hours of playing street fighter, and picking plums from all the trees in the neighborhood. They later became roommates at UCD where they were part-time amateur hair stylists cutting people’s hair. Shaun currently works as a financial analyst in San Francisco.
